An immersive experience between art and nature to discover a richly evocative place
Montecavallo Castle, in collaboration with Stilelibero Association, hosts an adventure that blends art and nature with the exhibition project "Spirits of Time."
Also thanks to the support of the Municipality of Vigliano Biellese and Banca Sella, Main Partners of the project, from April 6 to June 9, 2024, visitors will be able to follow a step-by-step journey to discover the impressive colorful and eclectic works signed Cracking Artinside the park of Montecavallo Castle.
"Spirits of Time" is an unusual and creative exhibition route designed to immerse the public in an itinerary to discover the installations of the renowned art collective Cracking Art. A tale of contemporary urban fairy tales under the open sky in a place where history, tradition, nature, environment and creativity come together to create authentic suggestions.
In fact, after three decades of international success, Cracking Art is returning to its roots, in the territory where it was born, to celebrate this special anniversary, creating an ascending path that features the iconic animals that have marked the project's success, alongside new creations that will be unveiled exclusively for the event.

The renowned Cracking Art collective, known for its towering urban creations of giant animals made of regenerated colored plastic, will bring its vibrant energy right into the heart of authentic nature and a working context adding a contemporary and surprising touch to the millennial hillside of Castello di Montecavallo.
The installations will consist of a variety of sculptures depicting animals and novel subjects that with their soft shapes and bright colors create an artistic landscape that dialogues harmoniously with its surroundings.
From the large Rabbit, symbolizing the transition from reality to metaphysics, to the Bears representing the encounter between the laws of nature and culture, each installation invites deep reflection. Wolves remind us of the importance of group cohesion and identity, while Penguins seek refuge from climate change in their ancient homes. Wild Geese await the hatching of a future of regeneration. Finally, the Great Snail, with its antennae connecting to the earth, invites us to reflect on the advance of time and the regeneration of our thoughts.
Montecavallo Castle also offers an experience dedicated to wine and history lovers. In fact, the exhibition route will also dwell on the vineyards that surround the Castle, allowing visitors to discover the secrets of a wine production that has always belonged to the same family, and the final stage of the route will be a tasting of the wines produced by the winery of the same name.

PLEASE NOTE: The trail takes place within Montecavallo Park, on dirt paths, thus also subject to variability related to weather conditions. Therefore, we encourage visitors to wear appropriate footwear for the trail.
The exhibition will not be accessible in case of particularly bad weather (heavy rain, strong wind, thunderstorms).
During the exhibition period, the Montecavallo Castle Winery will continue to offer tastings with guided tours "Between History and Vineyard" lasting two hours, including the exhibition tour in the visit. The exhibition ticket is included in the price of the "Between History and Vineyard" tasting.
For those interested in the "Between History and Vineyard" tasting, we invite visitors to book their tasting at this link, at least 48 hours in advance.
Alternatively, visitors to the exhibition can make the "Spirits of Time" tasting at the final stop of the exhibition without reservation (details below).
