Indero 2022

D.O.C. Coste della Sesia Rosato

INDERO is a unique and elegant Nebbiolo rosé.

Obtained through cryomaceration and gentle pressing of grapes, INDERO is a rosé with distinct traits, characterized by its delicate color, freshness, aromas of small red fruits and delicate savoriness.

Launched in 2021, the first year of the company's new management, INDERO is a celebration of the new team behind Castello di Montecavallo, Tomaso and Martina Incisa della Rocchetta: in fact, its name is an anagram of the first syllables of their last name.

In just two years on the market, it has already received positive reviews from critics including:

- Winehunter Award, Red Dot (2021 and 2022
- Wine City Competition, Silver Medal (2022)
- Wow! Civilization of Drinking, Silver Medal (2021)

The Montecavallo hill is made up of sediments dating back to the Pliocene geological era (between the Miocene and Pleistocene eras), and more precisely to the first period known as the 'Astiano'. The sediments contain a substance called 'ferretto', which creates an organic and mineral contribution to the soil that is particularly suitable for growing vines. The first documents attesting to the cultivation of vines on this hill date back to 1279.
The soil is loose, sandy, rich in skeleton and pebbles, severe and poor, where the vine roots sink deep into the ground.

Ca'bianca 2020

D.O.C. Coste della Sesia Rosso

CA'BIANCA is a surprising blend of Nebbiolo and Vespolina.

After the harvests (Vespolina first, followed by Nebbiolo), the grapes are processed separately and assembled after fermentation.

A blend of two traditional red grapes from Alto Piemonte, CA'BIANCA encapsulates the best of our terroir: the elegance of Nebbiolo with its hints of red fruit is combined with the characteristic elements of Vespolina such as peppery and herbaceous notes.

Because CA'BIANCA is a champion of tradition, it is named after the farmstead where our historic 1800s winery is located, in which the large vintage wine press can still be visited.

Aralcader 2019

D.O.Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo

ARALCADER is an elegant Nebbiolo for aging.
ARALCADER comes from the best grapes of our oldest vineyard, harvested in late harvest. After fermentation in steel and a gentle pressing of the pomace, ARALCADER is aged in wood and then in bottle
ARALCADER is an excellent representative of the Nebbiolos of Alto Piemonte. It is an elegant and clean red, with firm but elegant tannins, notes of dark fruits, balanced acidity and good minerality.
ARALCADER is an ode to elegance and tradition, which is why it is named after the owners' grandmother, Clara Reda, who lived in Montecavallo for more than 60 years. In her youth Clara was a painter and signed her works with the anagram of her name, Aralcader.
First launched in 2022 as the 2019 vintage, ARALCADER has already received numerous awards, including:
- Wow! Civilization of Drinking, Gold Medal (2019)
- Wine to Drink, Nebbioli Alto Piemonte Guide, 96.7 points (2019)
- Winehunter Award, Red Dot (2019)
- Wine City Competition, Gold Medal (2019)

CAJANTO is a surprising blend of Nebbiolo and Vespolina.

After the harvests (Vespolina first, followed by Nebbiolo), the grapes are processed separately and blended after fermentation.
A blend of two traditional red grapes from Alto Piemonte, CAJANTO encapsulates the best of our terroir: the elegance of Nebbiolo with its hints of red fruit is combined with the characteristic elements of Vespolina such as peppery and herbaceous notes, with a perfect balance of tannins, freshness and minerality.

After centuries of family production and winemaking, CAJANTO was the first wine from our winery to be put on the market since the early 2000s. Being the family wine, it could only be named after the way Chiara Reda, mother of the current owners, pronounced "Montecavallo" as a child.

The Montecavallo hill is made up of sediments dating back to the Pliocene geological era (between the Miocene and Pleistocene eras), and more precisely to the first period known as the 'Astiano'. Biondin

Our 'Biondin' takes its name from the legendary bandit, Francesco Demichelis, known as 'il Biondin'. Demichelis was born in Monferrato in 1871 and worked as a bandit between Lomellina, Biella and Vercelli. His charm and gallantry with women saved and protected him for many years. He is remembered as the last romantic bandit.

The name lends itself well to our "sfursà" which, with its golden yellow hues, lively and brilliant, is intriguing on the palate and has a fascinating persistence.

It opens with sweet notes of honey on the nose, then fades to more sensual notes of citrus.
It is savoured slowly to capture its freshness and sweetness, before arriving at a lingering finish of vanilla and candied fruit.
